In a whirlwind of political intrigue, Congress leader Vikas Agrahari found himself at the center of attention after a viral image showing him with BJP MP Smriti Irani sparked widespread speculation. Dismissing the reports with gusto, Agrahari declared that his allegiance to Congress runs deep, stating emphatically, “Mere khoon mein Congress hai. Meri aatma mein Congress hai. Mere mann mein Congress hai.”

Addressing reporters in Amethi, Agrahari clarified that his encounter with Irani was over local issues and not a political transition. “I never left Congress. The truth is that I have not joined the BJP,” he asserted, underlining his commitment to his party.

Setting the record straight, Agrahari shed light on the circumstances surrounding the viral image. “A formal welcome takes place when people meet each other. The same happened there as well,” he explained, adding a humorous touch by noting that the saffron clothing he wore was merely a towel.

Earlier speculations hinted at Agrahari’s crossover to the BJP, especially after reports suggested his meeting with Irani in the context of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Smriti Irani’s victory over Rahul Gandhi in Amethi during the 2019 elections added fuel to the conjectures, yet Agrahari’s firm denial put the rumors to rest.

As the Lok Sabha elections loom large, such incidents add an element of suspense and drama to the political landscape, leaving the public curious about the twists and turns in the run-up to the polls.
